What's Reiki?

The best definition of Reiki is "Spiritually Guided Life Energy". Reiki was discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in early 1900's in Japan.

The word "Rei" means Higher knowledge or Spiritual consciousness. "Ki" means life energy, which is called Chi or Qi in Chinese (Tai-Chi, Qi Gong), and Prana in Sanskrit.

Ki is within each one of us, including all animals, plants and trees. As long as we are alive, this universal life force is circulating through us and surrounding us. When Ki is high and flows freely, we are balanced physically, mentally and spiritually. But when it is low or blocked, we become vulnerable and eventually get sick. Unbalanced diet, chemicals and preserves in the food, electromagnetic waves from computers and cell phones, as well as stress, fear, anxiety and negative thoughts and feelings...they all affect natural flow of Ki and create blockage.

By receiving Reiki treatements, you will be able to release the blockage that's created within you, and let the energy flow naturally without interruption. So basically Reiki helps you get back to the real "you" and assists you to find your true self.

How does it work?

Unlike regular massages, Reiki healers don't work on your muscles by pressing or pressuring your body. Instead they gently place their hands on your body and access to your Ki. Healers are simply the channels to the energy and don't decide what to work on or what to heal; Reiki, your body and your conscious know exactly where you need to be "tuned", which organs need more energy, or which energy center or "Chakra" needs to be aligned.

Reiki is simple and gentle yet very poweful. It helps you to heal any types of physical, mental/emotional and spiritual issues you are working on. If you are already healthy, you can receive treatments to maintain your wellness. It works perfectly if you need to feel calm, centered and energized, or just for your relaxatation.
